They will hear of the depression and of blacking out windows and watching for enemy planes overhead during the dark nights of WW II. They will hear the Indian lore of the region and of the farmgirl who moved to Connecticut where she took engineering classes at night and landed a job as a metallurgist at Pratt & Whitney working on airplane engines. They will come to know her passions and her advice on how to live. In essence, they will get to know my Mom in the purest way possible. For this, I am eternally grateful.
